The Latics player began his career in non-League football, first appearing for Hallmark Security League side Charnock Richard before being snapped up by BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One South East outfit Leek Town in 2018.

Sanders then caught the eye of Wigan and moved to the DW Stadium in the summer for an undisclosed fee.

He signed an initial one-year deal with Wigan and has since developed in the club’s academy and also had a spell on loan with Port`s league rivals Blyth Spartans earlier this season.
