Boro
have signed Luke Porritt from NPL Division One North West side Ossett United.
The
24-year-old left-sided midfielder joined United last summer from Boro`s league
rivals Hyde United, where he worked under current Scarborough boss Darren
Kelly.
He
was a fan favourite at Hyde and won the young player of the season award in
2017/18.
He
signed for the Tigers from Guiseley AFC in August 2017 and had a loan spell
with Tadcaster Albion in 2018/19.
Meanwhile,
Jimmy Beadle has returned to Scarborough in a player-coach role.
Beadle (pictured) is remembered for scoring the final Boro goal at the Athletic Ground and the
first goal at the Flamingo Land Stadium in July 2017.
As
well as Scarborough, Beadle has had spells with Tadcaster Albion, Whitby Town,
Pickering Town and York City as well as spells in Sweden, Norway and Australia.
Kelly
has brought in the flamboyant Beadle to bolster the dressing room as he starts
to make plans for next season. |
