A
local lad, Hodges quickly became a fan favourite at the Laithwaite Community
Stadium.
An
attacking player who can play out wide or in an advanced midfield role just
behind the striker, the 26-year-old joined Woking after a successful trial
period in the summer of 2018.
He
is a self-confessed supporter of the club and was even a ball boy in his youth,
but after spending time with Reading as a teenager he put his football career
to one side to concentrate on becoming a teacher.
Close
to 10 years on he returned to his boyhood club following spells with Abbey
Rangers and Hartley Wintney, for whom he scored 30 goals in all competitions
Hodges
was integral in last season's 3-2 comeback play-off semi-final win over
Wealdstone.
He
also scored a goal of the season contender away at Hartlepool United earlier
this season.
He wasn`t without a club for very long, however, as National League South side Slough Town were quickly off the mark to add him to their squad. |
