Beckett replaces Alex Kaufman, who quit the club last week and joined Cambridgeshire Kershaw League title contenders Cambridge University Press.

The Saints are currently seven points adrift at the bottom of the table with ten games to play.

In a statement, the club said: "We would like to confirm the appointment of first team player/manager Stuart Beckett. Stuart has been at the club for 20-plus years and is a true Saint. The club would like to wish Stuart every success in his new role".
