Hardcastle has impressed since he first joined the Bluebirds on loan from SkyBet Championship side Blackburn Rovers last season, before sealing a permanent move to the Progression Solicitors Stadium in the summer.

His new deal comes as a just reward for his form which has helped push Barrow to the top of the National League with twelve games to go this term.

Born in Bolton, Hardcastle joined Blackburn`s youth set up at a very early age and signed his first deal with the club in 2015 before being loaned out to Salford City, then in the BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division where he spent three months.

A regular in the Blackburn development team, he made 3 appearances for them in the EFL Cup in the 2016/17 season and spent the first half of the season on loan to Port Vale in League Two, making 9 appearances.

He initially joined Barrow on loan for a month in February 2019 and made his debut as a substitute at home to Bromley.
