A
local lad, he initially joined the academy in the under-9 age group from
Longcroft Lions.
In
the 2016/17 season, he was one of the stand-out players for the under-18s,
playing in 27 out of a possible 29 matches – scoring 2 goals.
He
also appeared for the Terriers` under-23 side on four occasions, both in the
middle of midfield and at left back.
He's
supplemented further academy football with a taste of the senior game at
Brighouse Town in the 2017/18 campaign, where he won the club's player of the month
award in his first 30 days.
Twenty-four
appearances for Town's academy sides followed in 2018/19 before he progressed
his senior experience with 22 starts in the Vanarama National League North with
Bradford Park Avenue earlier this season.
Marriott
has just returned to Huddersfield after spending a month in the Irish Bluefin
Sport Championship with Larne. |
