Michael
Gyasi hit the headlines back in October 2010 when Premier League giants Chelsea
signed the then-11-year-old striker from League Two Northampton Town for a
substantial undisclosed fee.
Gyasi
was playing for the Cobblers under-11s and had been with the club’s centre of
excellence for the previous three years.
As
is often the case with lads of that age, things didn`t go as well as expected
and the 20-year-old went on to play non-League football for the likes of Barton
Rovers, Crawley Green and Bedford Town.
He
joined Isthmian League North outfit Coggeshall Town in August 2019 and scored 2
goals in 13 games before moving to league rivals Cambridge City in November,
making 8 appearances before switching to Communications Park. |
