The 23-year-old has spent the last four seasons at The Pit, helping Lakenheath reach Step 6 for the first time in their history.

His previous clubs include Chatteris Town and Ely City.

The central defender told https://www.wisbechtownfc.co.uk: "I'm looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead. I'm grateful for the opportunity to play for a club like Wisbech and I can't wait to get started."

Whaley was pleased to get another player on board: "I’m excited that I’m getting the chance to work with Dean after watching his development closely over the past couple of seasons.

“He has all the attributes to become a very good defender at this level, and his power, pace and aerial ability make him a welcome addition".
