New Moors` boss
Tim Flowers has snapped up Danny Wright, who has played nine seasons in the
National League with seven clubs, totalling over 100 goals in just over 300
games.
He began his career
at Dereham Town before transferring to Histon, where he helped them win the
Conference South title in 2006/07.
In 2010, he
moved Cambridge United, on a three-year deal and spent one season at the Abbey
Stadium, being the top scorer in a struggling team, before leaving for Wrexham
with whom he won the FA Trophy against Grimsby Town in 2013.
That was
followed by a year at Forest Green Rovers, before five months at both Gateshead
and Kidderminster Harriers.
Wright signed a
one-year deal at Cheltenham Town in June 2015, and his goals helped the Robins
win promotion back to the Football League at the end of his first season when
he was voted as supporters` player of the year.
In the 2016/17
season, he made his League debut at the age of 31 against Leyton Orient.
In his time
with Cheltenham, Wright scored 34 goals in 117 appearances. |
