Midfielder Jason Kennedy is to remain on loan with Vanarama National League North club Spennymoor Town from National League side Hartlepool United until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old linked up with the Moors on an initial one-month loan agreement at the end of January but it’s now been decided he will stay on at The Brewery Field for the rest of the campaign.

Kennedy joined Pools during the summer following his release from SkyBet League Two outfit Carlisle United and has gone on to make 20 appearances for the club, scoring twice.

However, having not started a National League game since October, Pools boss Dave Challinor was keen for Kennedy to go out on loan in order to get some regular football under his belt.

The midfielder has certainly done that with Spennymoor where his performances in the engine room have helped Jason Ainsley’s play-off chasing side enjoy an unbeaten February.
