Blyth Spartans have announced that manager Lee Clark and assistant Paul Stephenson have left the Vanarama National League North club by mutual consent.

The club have thanked them both for all their efforts and professionalism during their time at the club.

 

Former Newcastle United favourite Clark was appointed in June 2019.

 

His managerial record includes spells with Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City, Blackpool and Kilmarnock, and the move to Croft Park saw him venture into non-League football for the first time in his career. 

But he leaves with Spartans sitting second-bottom of the table.

 

Michael Nelson will take charge of team affairs for the remainder of this season.
