High
enjoyed a very successful stint with the Buildbase FA Trophy semi-finalists
before the end of December.
The
central midfielder is one of the longest-serving scholars at Huddersfield, having
joined the academy at under-9 level from junior football in Penistone.
Based
in Sheffield, he first featured for the under-18s as a schoolboy, making 2
starts and 5 substitute appearances.
His
2017/18 campaign was a tremendous success, with further appearances for the under-18
side quickly seeing him progress to a key role in the under-23s as a midfield
playmaker.
2018/19
saw High establish himself as the captain of Town's under-19 side, when he made
nearly 50 appearances in the season - scoring 7 goals.
His
form, as well as his demeanor off the pitch, saw him named the club's academy player
of the year at the end of the campaign.
High
progressed again in 2019/20, stepping into the first team squad when the
opportunity arose.
He
was an unused sub for Danny Cowley's side on five occasions at the turn of the
year after impressing at the manager`s former club, Concord, having signed a
new long-term contract in the summer.
More
good news for Beachboys supporters is that Nathan Carlyle has extended his stay
with the club from Queens Park Rangers for a further month.
Carlyle
has been impressive so far, including being highly impressive against
Leamington in the FA Trophy round of 16. |
