Former Rotherham full-back Stephen Brogan has joined Moors from league rivals Boston United.

He has featured for eight clubs since leaving the Millers in 2011, including Stalybridge Celtic, Forest Green Rovers and Gainsborough Trinity.
Brogan told https://spennymoortownfc.co.uk: “After speaking to the gaffer who said he wanted me at the club and seeing what the club have been doing the past few years, it was pretty straightforward from there.
“The National League North is getting better every year and there are some big clubs who are full-time in the division.
“However, I think we can more than hold our own this year and go one step better and make those play-offs.”
Ainsley has also brought in goalkeeper Matthew Gould from Stourbridge, who were in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League last season but have been switched to the Southern League Central ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

“After speaking to Jason and Tommy, I’m very excited for what could be another successful season for Spennymoor Town.”
