Mellish Brings In Four New Blues
Stuart Mellish, the new manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League West club Clitheroe, has revealed several signings after Saturday's first pre-season training session.

Mellish has also brought in experienced 31-year-old former Preston North End midfielder Warren Beattie.

 

Beattie has also had spells at Kendal Town, Bamber Bridge, AFC Fylde, and Ashton United an in Australia with Armadale FC.

 

Striker Max Hazeldine joins the Blues from league rivals Glossop North End.

 

The 21-year-old joined the Hillmen from Evo-Stik Northern Premier outfit Marine AFC in January 2018.

 

He came through the youth ranks at Accrington Stanley and scored 17 goals in 22 appearances on loan to Skelmersdale United.

 

He has also had spells at Stockport County on loan and at Ramsbottom United, joining the Mariners from the Lancashire club in November 2017.

 

A third new recruit is 21-year-old defender Josh Snowden who ended last season at Scarborough Athletic.

 

Snowden initially signed for Ossett Town at the start of the 2017/18 season after claiming a stack of awards at the end of the previous term with Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Thackley.

 

He originally came through the youth ranks at Guiseley AFC.

 

The fourth arrival at Shawbridge is 20-year-old midfielder Sean Keyes from Hallmark Security Division One South new boys Vauxhall Motors.

 

Back from last season's squad is supporters` player of the year Chris Thompson.

 

He is joined by familiar faces Joe Mitchell and Jacob Gregory.
