Challoner joins the Pilgrims from National League side Chorley on a contract running until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old, who won promotion from National League North with the Magpies last season, has been a virtual ever-present for them throughout the current campaign.

Challoner joined Chorley in the summer of 2016.

A consistent performer with a good engine and excellent defensive instincts, he was previously with Blackpool, Northwich Victoria and Southport.

Boston have also secured the loan signing of playmaker Jordan Nicholson (pictured) until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has linked up with the Pilgrims from league rivals Hereford FC, who he signed for in June from Darlington.

He started his career at now Isthmian North outfit Cambridge City before moving on to United Counties League side Eynesbury Rovers in 2014.

He scored an average of a goal-per-game for them before moving on to Histon, then in the National League.

He was a prolific scorer for the Stutes with 14 goals in 25 matches before signing for League One club Peterborough United in December 2015.

He made 2 appearances for Posh before he was loaned out to Nuneaton Borough, for whom he scored 16 goals in 30 matches.

He had a brief spell back at Peterborough, before being loaned out again to Nuneaton, and this time he scored 11 goals in 27 matches.

He signed for then-League Two side Barnet on a permanent basis in January 2018 and made 8 appearances before being loaned out to Brackley Town in March 2018 and released at the end of the 2017/18 season when he joined the Quakers.
