Sears Returns to Bucks on Loan

Defender Ryan Sears has joined Vanarama National League North club AFC Telford United on a month`s loan from SkyBet League One neighbours Shrewsbury Town.

The right-sided defender will join up with the Bucks for a second time in search of regular first-team football following on from an ACL injury.

Newtown-born, he was a star performer for the club`s under-18`s and was on the first team bench during the 2016 Christmas period and was one of five second-year scholars to be offered their first professional deals at the end of the 2016/17 season.

He spent the majority of the 2017/18 season on-loan with hometown club Newtown, where he was named players` player of the year at the JD Cymru Premier outfit.

His reward for a good season out on-loan was an extention to his deal for another year, keeping him at the club until 2019.

In August 2018 he had his first spell on loan with the Bucks, making 6 appearances – the same number he has now made for the Shrews` senior side.
