Goalkeeper Freddie Lapworth (pictured) is a second-year scholar who has also featured regularly in Cheltenham`s first team squad.

The shot-stopper, who hails from Oxfordshire, is the number one under-18 goalkeeper at the club.

He joined Vanarama National League North side Gloucester City on `work experience` in February 2019 and has also spent time on loan at Lydney Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division.

In November 2019 he joined Southern League Division One Central outfit North Leigh on loan but was recalled in January 2020 following an injury to Scott Flinders.

Teenage attacker Aaron Basford has been named in Cheltenham`s first team squad previously for an Emirates FA Cup fixture against Ebbsfleet United.

The powerful front man has stepped up from the under-18s set-up to be part of the first team matchday squad at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

He has also gained useful playing experience from a loan stint with Total Motion Midland League Premier Division side Worcester City.

In December 2019 he headed out on loan again, joining Evesham for the first time and scoring on his debut.

A month later he joined the Robins` league rivals Cinderford Town on loan but is now back at the Jubilee Stadium.

Callum Ebanks is another member of Cheltenham`s under-18 squad who has featured in the first team matchday squad.

A powerful attacker, he has spent time on loan at Worcester and Hellenic Leaguers Tuffley Rovers.

In his first season as a scholar at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium he scored four times in an 8-4 FA Youth Cup victory over Portsmouth to earn the under-18s a third round tie against Arsenal.
