The former Dartford, AFC Wimbledon, Ebbsfleet United and Woking centre-back was the key player for the club as they worked their way from the
Kent County Leagues through to the SCEFL Premier Division.
The 36-year-old is keen to say though that it is just goodbye and not farewell: “I loved every
moment playing for Punjab United, it was a fantastic decision to join.
“Our
football relationship has come to an end, but our friendship has not. I will
always be at the other end of the phone for all associated with the club. I
want to place on record an enormous thank you to all the players I played with
at Punjab United, the management team and all of the supporters that come to
watch. I will miss you all.
“I
have no doubt that the club go from strength to strength and continue to
improve season after season.
“I
started playing men’s football at Welling United aged 16, so football has been
a huge part of my life. I captained every club I represented which makes me
proud when looking back. Therefore, I am not officially retiring but it will
have to be the right club for me to carry on playing”. |
