Thumwood has been involved in non-League football since the age of 15 and was one of the stars of Paul Miles's Division One title-winning side of 2012 and was also part of the Badshot Lea promotion winning side in 2017/18.

Whilst injured, he was influential off the pitch during Frimley Green`s recent 2018/19 promotion and cup winning campaign which is where he showed his passion for football on the sidelines.

Thumgood is very well thought of through the club and he has gained a lot of respect from his fellow team-mates, supporters and managers, and the club has no doubts his winning mentality and desire to succeed will continue to take this club forward.

Nimmo is stepping into management for the first time after a long playing career, where he started off his men’s career in football at Aldershot Town.

He has been playing in the Combined Counties League for the last seven or eight years, spending most of his years captaining Badshot Lea and helping them gain promotion to the CCL Premier Division back in 2018, as well as playing for Frimley Green towards the end of his career.

Unfortunately, this led to a career-ending injury. However, Nimmo continued to be a regular visitor to the ground and after speaking to him, it is clear that he has great aspirations to bring his experience and passion into the next step of his football career and is looking forward to the new challenges ahead of him in management.

If Thumgood and Nimmo are as successful off the pitch as they were on the pitch together, then the club is in for a great future.

They will be supported by Ian Savage as first team coach.

Savage had a fantastic playing career for a range of highly regarded non-League clubs, and moved from playing into coaching including the likes of Godalming Town and Farnborough in the Southern League.

Chairman Matthew Flude said: “I am delighted to welcome Nick and Callum to the club as first team managers. I have no doubts their commitment to succeed and their experience and knowledge obtained through their years of playing will bring them their rewards with Frimley. I am delighted to give the two of them the platform and the clubs trust to take their football careers to the next level and I look forward to working with them.

“I 've always felt if the time came to be looking for a new management team, I wanted a connection between the managers, the club, the players and the supporters and an understanding of where the club is and where it is going and this is something I feel comes naturally with Nick and Callum”.
