Ford was appointed Banbury manager in May 2015.

As a player he had a Football League career spanning nearly twenty years with Oxford United and Cardiff City, making a total of over 500 appearances.

He had a brief stint as caretaker boss at Oxford United in 2003 before having an 18-month spell as manager of Brackley Town.

He then joined Oxford City as a player and assistant manager in 2006 before taking over the reigns as manager in 2009, securing promotion to Conference North in 2012.

He left Oxford City in the summer of 2014.

Ford has achieved a great deal in his time with the club, the highlight of course being winning promotion from the Southern League South & West Division in 2015/16.

Since then, under Ford's management the Puritans have become a well-established Southern League Premier Division club.

The club have placed on record their thanks to Mike Ford for his commitment and support over the past five seasons and have wished him every success for the future.

The club will now start the process to recruit a new manager and believe this will be an attractive opportunity to manage at a well-run and ambitious club.
