Pitt Returns to Clarets
Vanarama National League South club Chelmsford City have announced the appointment of Steve Pitt as head of football operations.

Pitt joined the management team as part of Rod Stringer's backroom staff in May 2016 and performed the role of head of recruitment and chief scout.

 

He left the club a few days after Stringer was sacked in January 2020 but has re-joined the club after being invited back by the current management team.

 

Pitt told https://www.chelmsfordcityfc.com: “My role is to directly support Robbie and assist him as required. With regard to my actual responsibilities in conjunction with Robbie they include amongst others player recruitment, player deals, preparation & arrangement of the pre-season programme, assisting in the set-up of the new academy and general managerial administration with all other aspects of the club and its staff”.
