Twelve Commit to City for 2020/21
The 2019/20 season may have abruptly ended due to the Covid-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown, but the uncertainty created has not stopped players of Isthmian League North club Cambridge City from committing for next season.

City manager Robbie Nightingale is sticking with the players who went seven games unbeaten without conceding a single goal.

Nightingale told https://www.cambridgecityfc.com: “In the first half of last season the number of players coming and going meant we did not have the stability we would have liked, and this was reflected in our results. Gradually the jigsaw came together, and we showed what we were capable of. For the season to end like it did was frustrating but the correct decision, protecting our fantastic frontline services and the lives of the vulnerable has to be priority.”

Players who have agreed terms for the 2020/21 season are Mike Davis, Jordan Gent (pictured), Dan George, Luke Knight, Isaac Maynard, Nathan Olukanmi, Jarid Robson, Ryan Sharman, Seb Simpson, Tom Wood, Yaw Ofosu and Tommy Rigby.

Nightingale added “Like our fantastic fans, the coaching staff are all City guys through and through with hundreds of games for the club between us. We only want players who value what playing for City means and take pride in pulling on the famous black and white shirt each week”.
