Flowers
(pictured) and his management team of Graham Learmonth, Phil Goulding, Tim
Smith and Stuart Joslin come to the club on the back of a very successful time
with Toolstation Western League Division One side Corsham Town.
At
the point of activities being put on hold, the team sat in a very commendable seventh
position and producing some very good performances.
The
Vic’s football co-ordinator and stand-in manager for last season, Andy Wicks, had no
hesitation in picking the phone up starting the conversations to enhance the
club’s management structure.
Wicks
was highly encouraged by the enthusiasm and plans that Flowers conveyed and had
no hesitation in confirming the appointment.
“Justin
has a level of experience and enthusiasm which is just what the club needs
right now and for future progression, I am sure he will fit in very well.”
When
asked about the move, Flowers outlined his initial plans and ambitions, saying:
“I would like to start with how excited I am at being appointed the manager of
Malmesbury Victoria Football Club.
“Everyone
I have spoken to so far have been great people who have been really welcoming.
“The
club already have a great playing squad and with a few additions of my own and
full support of a fantastic committee I feel this is a team that is really
heading in the right direction and to now be a part of that is very exciting. I
will be bringing in my own management team as well as keeping some Malmesbury
management to have the strongest back room team possible with a vast amount of
experience to help the club achieve its ambitions. Graham ‘Leo’ Learmonth, Phil
Goulding, Tim Smith and Stu Joslin will be joining me from my previous role at
Corsham Town and Kevin Bridgeman and Becca Maynard have agreed to also be part
of my management team. I will also be working closely with Andy Wicks, Ant
Brown and Josh Langley to use their experience and knowledge of the team and
the league.
“I
am very keen to maintain the positive influence people at the club already have
within Malmesbury Vics while adding my own style to help the club achieve many
great things in the future. I would like to thank everyone at Malmesbury for
making me feel at home already and I look forward to giving them a style of
football they can be proud of and enjoy watching every week”. |
