Taylor
comes to Quorn following a great football playing career and looks to build on
the success of last season.
The
36-year-old joins after being with Northern Premier League Division One South
East side Stamford AFC last season.
He
had re-signed for the Daniels in June 2019 following a second spell with
Matlock Town, who he re-joined in September 2018, having previously being with
the club towards the end of the 2016/17 campaign before he moved to Coalville
Town.
He
began his career as a winger at Bolton Wanderers before playing for Scunthorpe
United, Carlisle United, Brentford, Burton Albion and St Johnstone.
The
Jamaican born in England, has also been with Harrogate Town, Corby Town and
Barwell before his first move to Matlock.
Taylor
has signed a deal to become player-manager at Quorn, so the club are sure to
benefit from his vast experience on and off the field.
He
lives locally, working and living near the village of Quorn which allows a
smooth transition and a good work/home balance for him being so close.
It
was important to work quickly during these difficult times to ensure when
football does resume that Quorn look to continue the excellent work completed
on the pitch and behind the scenes at Farley Way.
The
club felt that promotion was close and were top of the table when the season
was cut short. Of course, health is the most thing to focus on currently.
Taylor
is all ready to go and has already started work behind the scenes. |
