And FC United manager Neil Reynolds has moved quickly to secure the services of Ollie Martin.

The 24-year-old joins FC United following a two-year stint with league rivals Radcliffe, where he clinched both promotion and the young player of the year award in the 2018/19 season, and has kept an impressive 33 out of 90 clean sheets in his time there.

Martin joined Radcliffe in the summer of 2018 from North West Counties League side New Mills.

He began his playing days as a junior at Manchester City between the ages of 13-16 and later had a two-year scholarship at Fleetwood Town where he was on the bench for one first-team match.

Since moving to non-League football, he has had spells at Stalybridge Celtic, Mossley AFC and two at New Mills as well a spell in Sweden at division two north Ange IF.

After being released in mid-April by Radcliffe, he was a player that was of interest to many clubs.
