The Countrymen released a statement on http://www.hallamfc.co.uk: "After a meeting, it has been agreed that our manager Stephen Whitehead will be leaving the club, by mutual consent, now that our season has ended.

"We would like to thank him for his four years of diligent service at the club, two as our manager, and for all the hard work he has put in here at Sandygate.

"We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

Hallam finished third under Whitehead in the 2018/19 season and were eighth in the table when the 2019/20 campaign came to a premature end in March.
