The
club have expressed its thanks to him for all his hard work while with the
Swans and have wished him all the best for the future.
Denton
joined the Swans in September 2019, having led Worksop Town to promotion from
the NCEL the previous season.
He
also won the NCEL League Cup to complete an amazing `double` for the Tigers,
including winning 22 games in a row!
He
previously managed Rainworth Miners Welfare and had vast experience in the
league as a player.
Rob
Watson (pictured) will be taking over as manager for the upcoming season.
Watson was Denton`s assistant manager and comes with
plenty of experience and know-how. He’s a vocal figure on the touchline always
offering encouragement to the team.
He
is no stranger to management, having previously been in charge at Winterton
Rangers and was also first-team coach at Glasshoughton Welfare.
He
currently works at Barnsley as the lead foundation phase coach having
previously been in the same role at Scunthorpe United.
Watson`s
first act as manager is to bring in Nathan Peat as his assistant.
Peat
is perhaps best known for his time as a player during North Ferriby United`s
rise, scoring
a penalty in Ferriby’s penalty shoot-out victory in the FA Trophy Final at
Wembley.
He
has also played for the likes of Hull City, Gainsborough Trinity, York City, Harrogate
Town, Bridlington Town and Brigg Town, where he also had a period as joint player-manager. |
