Originally with Brighouse and then Liversedge, Halifax Irish and Emley AFC, Hey scored 40 goals in the 2016/17 season for Campion in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One and then 22 goals in the 2018/19 season for NPL Division One East side Pontefract Collieries, before breaking his tibia last April but was still named in the NPL team of the year last season.

After six months out of action, he dropped down to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division to play for Eccleshill United, scoring the winner on his debut against Thackley.

He joined Brighouse`s league rivals Colne in December 2019 but has now made the move to divisional rivals Brighouse.

Meanwhile, another strike, Eddie Church, has agreed to stay with Brighouse.

Church, who has played for Albion Sports and Huddersfield YMCA, joined Brighouse in the summer of 2019 from league rivals Ossett United.

He made 17 appearances and scored 7 goals before the season came to a premature end.
