The
29-year-old re-joins the Crusaders from Robinson`s former club, Thatcham Town.
The
central midfielder returned to Thatcham in July 2019 from Hungerford, where he
had been since the summer of 2017.
He
is rated one of the most gifted players in the area and proved his qualities
with Swindon Town as a youth and has been a match winner for the likes of
Kintbury Rangers, Newbury and Thatcham.
He
ruptured his ACL in an FA Cup clash with Billericay Town in November 2017 and
spent 17 months out injured.
It
was no secret that Hungerford wanted him to stay at the club last season.
After
a successful campaign with Thatcham under Robinson, he is really happy to come
back to a club that holds happy memories for him.
His
experience of playing at Step 2 was a key factor in Robinson asking him to join
him and he knows that Willmoth has the qualities to improve the squad.
Meanwhile,
four former Hungerford academy graduates have agreed to stay with the Crusaders
for 2020/21.
Matt
Berry-Hargreaves signed a professional deal with Oxford United but returned to
Hungerford last season.
He
was in sparkling form before suffering an unfortunate injury and had secured a
regular starting place during a run of good results.
Robinson
believes he is a great young talent and was impressed with his desire to remain
and play at the highest level he can.
He
has an ambition to be a full time professional and Hungerford will work hard to
help him realise his full potential.
Goalkeeper
Tommy Rees will remain with Hungerford next season and he remains an important
member of the squad.
Robinson
was impressed with his attitude and desire to stay and compete for a place in
the first team.
Rees
is a very popular young man with a bright future and his professionalism is a
great example to current academy students who dream to be involved with the first
team squad.
Dan
Bailey and Conor Lynch have also agreed to sign for the 2020/21 season.
Bailey
featured regularly in the season that never was.
He
expressed his immediate desire to stay as soon as he discussed his future with
Robinson and the club believe the best is yet to come with this talented young
player.
After
a conversation with Robinson, Lynch expressed his frustration in not securing a
regular spot after some good performances last season.
He
is determined to force his way into contention with a fresh start under a new
manager and is relishing the opportunity to progress as a player at this level. |
