Joining the management team is Mike McGarvey as first-team coach.

McGarvey is an experienced coach on the Fylde coast, listing Fleetwood Town and Aston Villa as his previous clubs amongst others.

He now runs `Fylde Coast Soccer`, a grassroots club with academy standard coaching.

Speaking on his arrival, McGarvey told http://www.squiresgatefc.co.uk: "I`m absolutely delighted to be onboard. Luke put the offer on the table months ago but I had just set up a junior club so couldn`t commit with it being right at the start of the project.

“I came and watched a number of games last season and went with Luke on a scouting trip on a freezing cold winters night which was great to chat about their ideas and future plans. I can’t wait to get started when the current climate allows and I’m looking forward to meeting the team and committee."

Manager Luke Evans added: "I am delighted to welcome Mike to the club. I have a good friendship with him, and this is something that has been in the pipeline for a little while.

“He has been to watch us on a number of occasions, and we feel now is the right time to bring him in and help us to achieve our goals. He is a very good coach and I know that having him on board will only make us stronger.

“We are very lucky to have assembled the team that we have with Shane, Lucy and Des all excellent in their own fields but I feel that with everyone working together this could be the last piece of the jigsaw that is needed. It is exciting times for the club, and I can only once again thank the club for helping me to keep pushing the team forward”.
