the early end to the season brought about by the Covid-19, the team enjoyed a successful
season and were in the play-off positions at the time the season was halted and
also into the semi-final of the Suffolk Premier Cup.

told https://www.burytownfc.co.uk:
"I am extremely pleased and excited that the majority of last season's
squad have agreed to continue to play for Bury Town FC during the forthcoming
season. We have retained a core group of players season upon season, which has
allowed us as a Football Club to play with a specific set of values and
continue to make progress on and off the pitch"
"I
would like to thank the Chairman and Directors, for their continued support,
especially through this difficult time we are currently experiencing. I look
forward to seeing the Denny Bros Stadium bustling with excitement and full of
our loyal supporters, once football is safe to resume."
Meanwhile,
Ross Crane will leave Bury after just one season after earning himself a two-year
contract with SkyBet League One side Ipswich Town.
Crane (pictured),
who joined the Blues from league rivals AFC Sudbury in the summer of 2019, has
had an excellent 2019/20 season, making 33 appearances and scoring 2 goals
before lockdown, and had been training with the Ipswich academy with a view to
him joining their club before the Coronavirus pandemic halted all football.
Chenery
said: "I am delighted that Ross has earned himself this opportunity. I
will be disappointed to lose him from our team, but he deserves this chance and
I wish him all the best.
"He
has worked very hard for us all season and is developing as a player, so his
next move into full-time training with Ipswich Town will help him progress
further.
"I
wish Ross and his family all the best and they will always be welcome at Ram
Meadow". |
