Janes, who captained FC Stratford during the 2019/20 season after his transfer from Midland League Division One side, Studley, takes over from Poulson following the inconclusive end to the season.

Danny's first managerial appointment came at Alcester Town where he ran Alcester reserves in the Stratford Alliance. In his first season in senior management, Janes' side won the league and cup double. Janes was then promoted to the role of manager two weeks before the start of the following season, stabilising the club and achieving a seventh-place finish in Midland League Division Three.

The following season, and with a full pre-season, Janes' side missed out on promotion into Division Two on goal difference, also finishing runners-up in two cup finals.

"DJ" lists an impressive array of previous coaching/management experiences having been a coach within the Birmingham City academy at under-14 level. He has managed the Worcestershire Under 18 County side and also coached and scouted for the England Schoolboys Regional side.

Last season Janes started with Studley in Midland League Division One as a player but also taking coaching sessions for the management.

Janes told https://www.fcstratford.co.uk: "I am absolutely delighted to be announced as the FC Stratford manager.

"It is a club I have always admired in terms of infrastructure and professionalism. I appreciate that I am young, and people will question why I don't continue to play, but physically I feel that football has caught up with me.

"Management and coaching are my passion, they are aspects of the game that I believe I can excel and progress in.

"FC Stratford is a great club in which I can implement my ideas and philosophies. The hard work has begun, and I can't wait to get the players back in and get to work".
