Having already clinched the signings of Ben Rhodes from Worksop Town and the permanent arrival of Josh Woodcock from Lincoln City following a successful loan spell with the Nailers in 2019/20, manager Grant Black has now added prolific marksman Danny Frost, another forward in Steve McDonnell and brought goalkeeper Leigh Overton back to Christchurch Meadow.

Frost missed most of last season through injury but joined Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One side Selby Town in February from Belper`s league rivals Stocksbridge Park Steels.

A former favourite at Shaw Lane AFC and Ossett Town, where he played under Black, Frost (pictured) helped Shaw Lane to promotion.

He has also had spells with the likes of Maltby Main, Frickley Athletic, Tadcaster Albion, Winterton Rangers, Spennymoor Town and Bradford Park Avenue.

McDonnell is an experienced striker who was in his second spell Worksop Town after re-joining from Maltby Main in November 2018 before switching to Stocksbridge Park Steels.

He helped the Tigers win the Northern Counties East title and promotion to the NPL Division One South East in 2018/19.

His previous clubs include Parkgate, Clipstone and Retford United and he re-joined Worksop in October 2019.

Overton is an experienced goalkeeper who returns to Belper from NCEL outfit Armthorpe Welfare, who he returned to in January 2020 having previously played for the club in the 2015/16 season before moving on to Ossett Town.

The 29-year-old originally joined Belper Town in October 2018 from the newly formed Ossett United, where he had impressed during pre-season with some outstanding performances.

He made a major contribution to Ossett Town reaching the 2017/18 play-off final and counts Spalding United amongst his other former clubs after starting out at Grimsby Town.
