Manager
Ian Long, assistant manager Richard Colwell, goalkeeper coach Chris Walwyn and
Matt Kirby and Danny Scheppel as first-team coaches will remain at Lye Meadow.
Long
returned to the Alvechurch helm in February, barely two days after departing
league rivals Stourbridge by `mutual consent`.
He
brought Colwell, Walwyn and Kirby back with him.
Long
left Church at the end of the 2018/19 season, having guided the club to within
an ace of the play-offs.
Before
joining Alvechurch initially, Long led Tividale to the Midland League Premier
Division title in 2014 and the following season Tividale finished a creditable eighth
in their first season in the Northern Premier League Division One South.
He
left in May 2015 due to budget cuts and was swiftly appointed as the new boss
of Alvechurch with Colwell following him to Lye Meadow.
In
2015/16 Alvechurch finished as runners-up to Hereford FC in the Midland League
Premier Division and then twelve months later they landed a `treble`, securing
the Midland League title and lifting both the League Cup and the JW Hunt Cup.
Season
2017/18 saw Alvechurch compete in the Northern Premier League Division One
South where they finished as runners-up to Basford United to earn back-to-back
promotions, being placed in the Southern League Premier Division. |
