The White Tigers have made midfielder Ryan Dickson`s move from National League side Torquay United a permanent one.

The 33-year-old Cornish born left-back is a former Plymouth Argyle youth graduate.

He signed for Torquay in the summer of 2018 and brought with him a wealth of experience playing for such clubs as Brentford, Southampton, Colchester United and Crawley Town.

He returned to Plainmoor from Yeovil Town after a very successful loan period at the Gulls back in 2007/08.

Dickson made 16 appearances and scored one goal whilst on loan at Truro in 2019/20.

Manager Paul Wotton told https://www.trurocityfc.net: "I'm absolutely thrilled to have back, he was brilliant for us while on loan from Torquay last year. He's won the league above and brings a wealth of Football League experience to us. He can play in two or three positions as well as being brilliant in the changing room. He's 33 but is incredibly fit and brings great experience to the squad."

Returning to Treyew Road after recently being released by league rivals Taunton Town are Ryan Brett and Shane White.

Brett is a 29-year-old left-sided player who began his career at Plymouth Argyle.

After a spell locally with Plymouth Parkway, he spent three years at Salisbury City where he helped them win promotion to both the National League South and National League.

He later joined Truro ahead of the 2014/15 campaign and had three seasons in Cornwall until leaving in the summer of 2017 and signing for Taunton and was voted joint winner of the players’ player award in his first season.

White (pictured), 30, is an experienced player who can operate across the back or in midfield.

He signed for Taunton in October 2016 after his departure from Turo when they were members of the National League.

He began his career at youth level at Plymouth Argyle before going on to play for Weymouth, Falmouth Town and St Blazey until his switch to Truro in 2013 where he scored the play-off winner to gain promotion to the National League South.
