The 24-year-old midfielder spent several months training with the club last season and impressed the management and staff.

Born in Kumasi, Ghana and after upping sticks and moving to England, he signed up for the youth team at then-Southern League Division One Central side Woodford United.

It was his performances there which saw the bigger clubs trying to get his signature and it was not long before Birmingham City made their move to sign the youngster in 2012.

He made his way through the ranks at St Andrews and made it to their reserve team in February 2013.

At this point, Arthur was knocking on the door of the first team, impressing Lee Clark (City’s manager at the time) and was finally rewarded with his first team debut on 1st April 2013, when he came on in the 78th minute against Wolves.

Short loan periods at Lincoln City and Cheltenham Town followed, before Arthur returned to St Andrews to fight for his first team position.

He then made his full debut on 30th September away at Millwall.

He was sent on-loan to Cheltenham again before he was released at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Upon his release, Macclesfield made their move to sign the winger and was part of the team that won the Vanarama National League title in the 2017/18 season, scoring 2 goals in all competitions.

In June 2018, Arthur signed a new deal with the Silkmen ahead of the SkyBet League Two campaign.

He totalled 26 games for Macc, scoring 3 goals.

Rewarding him with a contract for the new term, Penn told https://harriers.co.uk: “Koby has shown his commitment to the club, having trained with us for several months last year, purely because he wanted the opportunity. It’s one he’s really grateful for.

“He knows he has lost his way in the game a little over the last year, and I want to be the Manager that finds the player I know is still in there somewhere. He’s still capable of being one hell of a talent.

“This is a great addition for us”.
