The Peacocks have signed striker Toby Holmes from league rivals Salisbury.

The 27-year-old joined the Whites exactly a year ago from neighbours and rivals Wimborne Town.

A prolific marksman who scored over 30 goals in 2018/19 for the Magpies, he joined them in June 2016 and his previous clubs include Parley Sports, Dorchester Town and Poole Town.

He found the net 21 times in all competitions in 2019/20 before the season came to a premature end.

Head of Football Rob Dray told https://tauntontown.com: “I am very pleased with the capture of Toby as he has been one of the most prolific strikers in the Southern League for a while. He is a very respectable young man and we know that he will work hard and get us goals”.
