Vastly experienced forward Craig Westcarr (pictured) has joined Newark for the 2020/21 season.

The 35-year-old joins from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Grantham Town, who he signed for in June 2019 from Matlock Town.

The experienced 35-year-old started his career at Nottingham Forest and became the youngest player to represent the club when he made his debut in October 2001, aged 16, coming off the bench in a 1-0 win over Burnley.

He made 23 league appearances for Forest and had loan spells at Lincoln City and MK Dons, before joining Cambridge United in 2005.

He went on to have spells at Notts County, Chesterfield, Walsall, Portsmouth and Mansfield Town in the Football League.

He also represented England at under-15, 16, 17, 18 and under-21 level.

After leaving Mansfield, he had spells with Alfreton Town, where he scored 24 goals in 75 games, Kettering Town and spent the majority of the 2018/19 season with Matlock Town after joining them in September 2018 on dual registration forms from Boston United, ending the season as the Gladiators' top scorer.

Joining Westcarr in a new-look attack is tall, bustling centre-forward Bradley Wells.

Wells joined Southern League Premier Division Central side Hednesford Town in March 2019 from Spalding United.

He had re-joined the Tulips in December 2018 from AFC Mansfield.

He started out at Ollerton Town in 2012 and in October 2013, he linked up with his brother Kieran for the first time at Gedling Miners Welfare.

He has since gone on to have spells with Gresley FC, Long Eaton United, Handsworth Parramore, Belper Town, Gainsborough Trinity and Stamford and also had a spell with Newark on dual registration a couple of seasons back.
