Toy
replaces Derry Nathasingh who led the club last season before the premature
ending of the campaign in March.
Toy
is a familiar face to Sutton fans having played for the club and last managed
at this level with Oldland Abbotonians in 2018/19.
Toy
told the club`s website: "First of all, I would like to take this
opportunity to thank George Williams and the committee for appointing me as
first-team manager at Bishop Sutton. It feels good to be back at the club. You're probably not aware but I played here many years ago when I was eighteen
years of age. I went on to have three successful stints over my playing career
with the club so to be back as manager thirty years later is an honour.
"I
have great memories of playing at Bishop Sutton, it's a great club and it will
be my job to bring back stability and success. I will be working with players
old and new as well as the new under-18's throughout the season. I have a new,
experienced management team that I will be bringing in, this will include Dan
Spill who has played at this level for a number of years and who I believe
can also bring a lot to the club.
"I
look forward to seeing you all at Bishop Sutton, whenever that may be! Let's
hope it's sooner rather than later so we can focus on the future ahead". |
