No-nonsense and robust defender Townsend re-joined The Pics during the course of last term, whilst Whittall has been a regular member of the side for the past few seasons.

"Michael is one of the best defenders at our level," manager Liam McDonald told his club`s official website. "We have beat a few clubs to secure his signature for the season ahead.
