He has also been with Thornaby and Stockton Town.

Striker Kurtis Howes also joins from Thornaby and was also previously with Stockton Town.

Assistant manager Paul Crager said: We are delighted to announce the signing of attacking player Kurtis Howes. He is a massive statement for the intentions of our club.

“He is a former Northern League young player of the year and we have beaten off competition from a number of clubs to get his signature.”

Kurtis` brother Scott Howes (pictured) has also made the move to Billingham.

Previously with Newton Aycliffe and Thornaby, he was with Synners before and will look to add to his 16 appearances and 2 goals for the club.

Midfielder Aaron Croft joins having been with Sunderland RCA last season, while defender Connor Johnson arrives after spells with Thornaby and Crook Town.

Another defender, Stephen Morrison, returns to the club having played for Synners back in 2009/10, making 26 appearances.

He has since spent nine seasons with Thornaby.

Another player returning to Synners for a second time is midfielder Danny Chapman.

He had a short spell with the club in 2017/18 and is another to have followed the management team from Thornaby.
