Carey, 26, is a left-back who started his career in the academy at Aldershot Town.
He played a couple of pre-season friendlies for Woking at the start of the 2010/11 season before signing for Salisbury City for two years, winning promotion to the Conference South in his first season at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.
He then joined Bashley in 2012 - at first on loan - making the move permanent in July that year.
He signed for Kingstonian – then managed by Woking boss Alan Dowson - in October 2013, finishing second in the Isthmian Premier in his first year.
Carey re-joined Dowson at Hampton in July 2015, winning the league and promotion to the National League South that season.
Last season he made 55 appearances for the Beavers in all competitions - the most of any player there.
Dowson told http://www.wokingfc.co.uk: "I've signed him for three different clubs, which shows how much I rate him. I think we've just signed the best left back in the league and the best man for the job at the football club. I'm delighted to get him, he was my number one target.
“I would like to place on record my thanks to the Board for backing Casey's signing and also Andy Laithwaite and John Moynihan for financially supporting the transfer".
