Catlin
has pulled off quite a coup in persuading Lee Molyneaux to join him as his
number two just a week or so after he had quit as manager of Southern League
Premier Division South side Gosport Borough.
After
twelve months in charge, Molyneaux felt he could no longer devote the time the
job needed.
The
former Gosport defender was appointed in May 2019 to lift the club out of the
doldrums after a difficult period.
Originally
on Portsmouth`s books, Molyneaux had a spell in Irish football with Derry City
and played 16 times in the Football League for Oxford United before returning
to non-League football with Basingstoke Town, Cirencester Town, Clevedon Town,
Gloucester City and Forest Green Rovers.
Molyneaux
then spent four years at Gosport, making 83 appearances between 2011 and 2015
and was part of Boro’s memorable FA Trophy Final side that lost 4-0 against
Cambridge United at Wembley in 2014 before moving to neighbours Havant &
Waterlooville. |
