He
joins the Reds as player/head coach and becomes new manager Nathan Rooney’s
fourth summer signing, following Alex Coleman, Jamie Cooke and striker Reece
Webb-Foster.
Cannon-Noren
signed for Colne`s league rivals Runcorn Linnets in August 2019 before
switching to another league rival, Droylsden, just before Christmas 2019.
He
started out in home-town club Southport's youth team before playing in the
under-23s at Morecambe, from where he moved to Clitheroe on loan.
His
other former clubs include AFC Liverpool, who he joined in January of last
year.
He
was a development squad member at Liverpool as a 12-year-old, transferring to
Blackpool aged 13.
He
helped his high school team to national championship success.
A
natural athlete, who was also a promising sprinter in school days, he uses his
speed and strength to good effect on the football field. Although primarily a
right-sided player, he can operate anywhere across midfield.
Rooney
told https://www.colnefootballclub.com:
“Harry’s a versatile right sided player with a great engine and the ability to
beat players in a 1v1. Most importantly, his character and his attitude to the
game is something that will enhance our team culture this season.
“I’m
delighted to get this signing secured. Harry is a great addition to our squad,
an athlete who’s strong in a number of positions, who also has an eye for a
goal”.
