Striker Jordan Annear (pictured), who made the long-distance move to Northern Premier League Premier Division side South Shields in late August 2019, has signed for Biddy

Annear made just 6 appearances for the Mariners, scoring once, before being released in October 2019, returning to the West Country to join Toolstation Western League Premier Division outfit Tavistock.

From Truro in Cornwall, Annear enjoyed a goal-laden spell with Plymouth Parkway in the Western League Premier Division.

His previous clubs include Porthleven, Newquay and Falmouth Town.

He won the South West Peninsula League`s `golden boot` after notching 43 times in the 2017/18 season and scored almost a century of goals in just over 100 appearances for Falmouth and had trials with AFC Wimbledon, Cheltenham Town and Southern Premier Division South outfit Tiverton Town.

Season 2018/19 saw him score 19 times in 17 games for Parkway as they finished second in the Western League, and he came to Shields’ attention when he impressed in two trial matches.

Bideford manager Sean Joyce has also managed to prise away impressive midfielder George Nancekivell from Southern Premier side Tiverton.

The 24-year-old joined the Yellows in June 2019 from Bideford`s close rivals Barnstaple Town.

Voted players` player of the 2018/19 season, he previously played for South West Peninsula Leaguers Torridgeside, having begun at North Devon Leaguers Merton FC, and joined Barum in 2017.
