Midgley has held recruitment and coaching positions at Sunderland, Stockton Town, York City and English Schools FA.
The 31-year-old’s career has spanned thirteen years and has seen him become a UEFA qualified coach.
Midgley told the club`s official website: “When I spoke to Jay and Tommy I knew instantly that it was the right club for me.
“I have known Jay for a lot of years now and have got to know Tommy over the past few, so I think there will be a strong set up with the three of us in place.
“Watching the progression of the club over the past four to five years makes me excited to be involved from the inside, and let’s hope we can go one better than last year.
“To work at National League North level and go to places like Stockport County, York City and Kidderminster is a challenge I am really looking forward too.
“I am a young and hungry coach and I want to progress myself professionally, and I believe Spennymoor is the perfect place for me to do that with the superb infrastructure the chairman and his board have created.
“I cannot wait to get started and work alongside Jay, Tommy and the top players at the club”. |
