Wones first signed for Norwich United before the 2016/17 season after a fine year with Spixworth where he scored 19 goals and played for Riverside Rovers in the Sunday Senior cup final at Carrow Road.

In his first season, he was the top appearance maker in the squad with 47, chipping in with 7 goals as the Planters finished ninth in their first ever season in Step 4 of the non-League Pyramid.

Wones went on to make 43 appearances in the 2017/18 season and captained the club to victory in the Norfolk Senior Cup, coming from behind to beat Downham Town 4-2 in the final at Carrow Road.

Sadly, after a bad start to the season, the club were relegated from the Isthmian League Division One North by one point.

Wones left Plantation Park in the summer of 2018, joining Norwich CBS.

After a short spell at the club, he then joined Dereham Town and in doing so helped the club survive relegation from the Isthmian North.
