Striker
Harry Baker has arrived from league rivals Poole Town.
The
26-year-old had moved the short distance along the Dorset coast to Poole from
Weymouth in May 2019.
The
forward signed for the Terras in the summer of 2017 after an impressive season with
Toolstation Western League side Gillingham Town.
He
scored 19 goals in his first season at Weymouth and played 32 times for the
Dolphins in 2019/20, scoring 14 times.
Claridge
has also brought in two former Gosport Borough players in Sam Roberts and
Charlie Davis.
Roberts
started his career at AFC Totton at the age of 19, playing for the reserves for
just short of a year, before making the first team.
The
following season he was involved more regularly with the first team, making
many appearances.
A
long-term injury cut the 24-year-old centre-back’s next season short, but upon
his return to fitness he spent a couple of months with Hamble FC.
The
season of 2018/19 he left AFC Totton to join Winchester City, where he
impressed in pre-season and fixed his place in the starting line-up.
After
six months he was approached by Gosport and agreed to sign halfway through the
year and played an important part of Borough’s survival in 2018/19.
Davis (pictured) is a 25-year-old midfielder who returned to Gosport from rivals Dorchester Town
in early December 2019.
The
central midfielder joined the Magpies from Gosport for a second permanent spell
having initially signed for the club from Poole in June 2015.
He
started his career with AFC Bournemouth and had his first stint with Poole in
2013.
After
a short period at Bashley, he switched from Dorchester to Poole and back before
joining Weymouth in 2016.
He
made over 100 appearances for the Terras, scoring 24 goals, before re-joining the
Dolphins.
Arriving
from another league rival in Wimborne Town is midfielder Antonio Diaz.
The
20-year-old was at AFC Bournemouth from 2007 to 2018.
He
was a member of the team which won the Youth Alliance Cup final 2-1 against
Wigan in 2017, scoring one of the goals.
He
then joined Weymouth as a winger, before moving to Dorchester for 2018/19 as an
attacker.
He
signed for Wimborne in November 2019.
