McConnell joins from the now-defunct Brackley Town Saints after breaking into the side last season from their under-18 side.

McConnell made 14 appearances for the Saints last season, starting in 5 games and scoring in 1.

After the signing, Ardley boss Lee Matthews told the club`s website: “I’m extremely pleased to have Hayden sign for us. He is only 17 and got a big future ahead of him after breaking into the Brackley Town Saints side last year. He will be hoping to push on with us here at Ardley. David (Michno) also picked him out as he had a very impressive 1st training session with us. I am really looking forward to working with him this year and helping him develop into the top player he can be.”

McConnell is a creative midfielder, who prefers to play as a number 10 but can play across the midfield.
