Coyle will be a familiar face to Margate fans following football across the county, having enjoyed a successful playing career across Kent, including spells at Dartford, Welling United and most recently at Hythe Town, last season.

The centre-back will also register as a player for Margate for the upcoming season.

Alongside this, Coyle brings plenty of coaching experience to Hartsdown Park.

A UEFA A License coach and FA Tutor, Coyle has enjoyed managerial spells at both Welling and Dartford.

Manager Jay Saunders told http://www.margate-fc.co.uk: “I’m really pleased to welcome Jamie to the club as my assistant. Jamie and I have known each other for a long time and worked with each other when he was my player and coach at Maidstone.

“He knows how I like to do things and how things should be done. We’re both looking forward to the challenge of next season. It was especially important to me to get the right person in to follow after Mike Sandmann and I believe with Jamie we’ve got a great addition. Jamie’s experience, leadership and drive will be extremely valuable to me and the club as whole”.
